when young Nico Millar got his first guitar back in '01 he had a dream,to start a young punk band.
After a few different combinations of band members he settled with his lifelong freind Paul Gallagher as drummer(even
though he didnt have a drum kit and didnt know how to play) and singer Caimin Oshea, they then emplyed the services of Brian
Armstrong on bass(even though he didnt have a bass or know how to play)
and conor mathews on rhythm guitar-and yes, he had stubble when he was twelve..
A few months passed and paul got his drum kit and brian got his bass. Eventually the band decided that after
4 months it was time to get a name, after many different band names it was proposed that we call ourselves RAT QUEEN
S.H.I.T BUCKET...(we fired conor a week later)..
It is not known why but we then fired Brian, and the bass shaped hole in our band was quickly filled by young funk
bassist Lorcan Nemid Mc Manus.
By this time our tastes had changed and we had abandoned the young punk idea and moved on to METAL. lorcan was brain
washed evey sunday (band day) to become a METAL bassist, but irony goes Lórcan is now far more into punk than neother
type of music that has, or is yet to, been made.
a few months more had passed and the newly formed four piece metal act then known as THE WATCH were ready
to take enniskillen by storm.
after a hugely unsucessful gig at the crumway inn, the watch thought that they were doomed to failure .....
..that is until local punk act NICE'N'SLEEZY got us back on our feet with a hugely sucsessful opening slot at willie
ramblers (with much help from john moffat!!),and thanx to mr. sleezy we recieved our first paypacket.
since then allainces forged with sope founder Tom Johnson mean that the wacth have a secure future in skintown
and will be playin many gigs for some time to come.
And now for the last part of the history which isnt realy history the watch got a 3rd guitarest and it happened sortly
after we got shane donegan to help us out at practice which means he just sat on is ass, ate cake and watched us, anyway we
then asked him would he join the band, luckily he accepted and the new Watchman was official.
p.s the watch would like to formally apologise for making brian spend all of his birthday money on a bass then firin
him soon after , he has since been majorly supportive of the watch .
